Castor

The world is looking at Castor Oil & Its Derivatives as natural and biodegradable products to manufacturer biopolymers, biolubricants and additives. Castor is agricultural product and it is versatile and unique natural gifted to the world.

Castor Oil, also known as Ricinus Oil, a triglyceride of fatty acid like most other fats. However, it is a unique fat in that contains 87-90% Ricinoleic Acid, CIS 12 - hydroxyoctadec - 9 - enoic acid, a rare source of an eighteen carbon hydroxylated fatty acid with one double bond Castor Oil, is extract from castor bean by use of hydraulic presses or continuous mechanical screw expellers, followed by solvent extraction. Castor Oil serves as an industrial raw material for the manufacture of complex organic derivatives. Some of the reaction possible with castor oil and hydrolysis to produce fatty acids and glycerol, esterification with monohydric alcohols to produce esters, alcoholysis to produce monoglycerides, diglycerides, monoglycol etc..

Castor is versatile and unique natural gifted Oil. Castor Oil & Its Derivatives which can be utilised to make much more biodegradable and biosustanbale range of products like Polyols, Coatings, Adhesive, Sealants, Elastomer etc…
